A Friday Night For Heroes

'Aleethia' is a small non profit dedicated to helping the newly injured troops. We are just a few people, all volunteers, trying to aid in the initial phase of recovery. We do this by providing dinners and short term recreation outings and small grants.

Stand Down | Philadelphia, PA

Stand Down is a term derived from the military, referring to a period of rest and re-supply for exhausted combat troops. Applied to our homeless initiative, Stand Down describes a volunteer effort to impact and positively change the lives of homeless veterans and their families.

The Gumpathon

Inspired by Forest Gump’s epic run across America, The Gumpathon is the brain-child of Colour Sergeant Damian Todd who decided to go ahead with the idea after a close friend was left severely disabled following a tour in Afghanistan.

'Welcome Home' Media, PA | Parade & Ceremonies

The Grand Marshals were Cpl. Rusty Carter who while serving with the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan was injured when his Humvee crashed while returning from a mission, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. Lt. Col. Mark O'Hanlon Commander of the PA National Guards 1st Battalion 111th Infantry Division of the 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team.
